First of all, the UU picnic went well. I almost weaseled out because the weather looked like crap, but it cleared up. The park it was held at is lovely; the pavillion where the event was held was situated so that all the views were good---whether of the river, the woods or the coast. Yesterday's dog was a little shih tzu/poodle mix with a barking problem, the result of deep-rooted insecurity. Her owner seems to be the take-charge type 9former teacher(, so I think they'll do well.
